Developed a bus scheduling and fare app, providing real-time location tracking. Enhancing user accessibility to bus information.
My Role
As Frontend Developer and UX/UI Designer. I led the design, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing app. I also designed the design system.

Design Process

Research and Analysis.

For competitor analysis, study apps like Uber, Lyft, Transit and Moovit. Identify features users appreciate or find lacking. Surveys can include questions like "Rate the importance of real-time tracking" or "How satisfied are you with current bus fare displays?" Analyzing competitor strengths and survey responses guides the app's design to meet user expectations.

User Persona

For the bus scheduling and fare app, I crafted detailed user personas to represent distinct user segments. These personas encapsulated various user needs, preferences, and pain points, serving as invaluable guides throughout the design process.

User Journey

Facilitated a collaborative session to map the user journey, aligning the team on information display and timing. This resulted in valuable ideas addressing identified pain points, fostering team alignment on problem-solving approaches.

User Flow

The user flow for the bus scheduling app begins with users selecting a route, exploring schedules, and choosing a trip. Transparent fare information is provided before users track the real-time location of the selected bus. Users can confirm details, receiving updates throughout the journey. Considerations include clear route information, transparent fares, and real-time tracking, ensuring a user-friendly experience for scheduling, tracking, and completing bus journeys.

Design System

Implemented and documented a cutting-edge design system using GitBook, paving the way for innovative feature development and ensuring coherence across the entire mobile app ecosystem.

Prototype

The prototype serves as an interactive representation of our bus scheduling and fare app, allowing stakeholders and product managers to experience key features firsthand. This initial iteration focuses on fundamental functionalities—exploring the app, checking bus schedules, tracking buses in real-time, and viewing fare details. Gathering feedback at this stage ensures alignment with expectations, usability, and overall satisfaction, guiding further refinements for an optimized user experience.
